To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have solid experience servicing a book of business at a brokerage firm (although you won't handle day-to-day servicing in this role) including demonstrated commercial insurance marketing and negotiation skills. You also will need a broad understanding of commercial insurance and experience interacting with underwriters. More About Your Role

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer , you will join a team bringing a new level of expertise to the marketing and carrier management function. You'll support Producers and Account Managers, working closely with them on a daily basis. We have strong ties with many national carriers as well as many regional ones, and you will negotiate coverage, scope, terms, pricing and terms with them.

In general the Producers and Account Managers  will bring you all the paper work. After ensuring it is complete, you will arrange it for presentation to carriers, providing all the details while featuring the most attractive and compelling ones. You'll market it to multiple carriers, sometimes meeting in person with underwriters and other decision makers, including making presentations. Over the next 30 to 60 days you'll follow up with the carriers to negotiate terms and finalize quotes. Once the quotes are complete you'll turn them over to the Producer who will then take them to the client.

You also will help Producers expand their product knowledge and understanding of industry dynamics. There is a sales component to this function, as you may help the Producers close deals.
